This was a concept re-design for Berlinale Film Festival’s logo. Berlinale is a prominent, international film festival in Berlin, Germany. Berlinale is held very highly in the film industry, but their logo didn’t command the same respect. It was important that the new logo be timeless, adaptable to different spaces, while maintaining the visual symbol of the Berlin bear. For inspiration, I pulled from Berlins vast history of minimalism and modernism. The final mark was a “B” with a film strip on the side and the Berlin bear in the middle.
